Class 104 DMU at Haymarket

Larger image(s): 2048px

Details

Services restarted from Edinburgh to Bathgate in 1986 and used a variety of worn out DMUs shuttling to and from a new single platform terminus station built in the former goods yard.

In August 1987 we see BRCW class 104 DMU 53464 still wearing its M prefix following its transfer from Newton Heath 6 months earlier. It is seen passing the erstwhile Haymarket Coal Yard on an Edinburgh to Bathgate working, running with blue / grey centre car 59168 and class 108 M52059.
