The Class 127 Farewell railtour on 12th March 1983 took a unit (M51618 + 59645 + 59615 + 51592) from St Pancras to Bedford then across to Oxford, and back to Marylebone via a break at Quainton Road. A photostop was made at Stewartby as we headed from Bedford to Oxford, and what seemed like the entire passenger contingent alighted at the small platform.
