By 1999 time was running out for first generation DMUs in Scotland, with a handful of Met Camm power twin sets operating from Corkerhill depot on some Glasgow suburban services. A few photos were taken on 1st August that year, when these had only a few months to go before being replaced by Sprinters. 101693 (53266 visible) is seen at Motherwell after arriving on a shuttle from Whifflet. A couple of class 303 sets are stabled in the sidings alongside the “Hamilton Circle” line platforms.
