A Class 110 Birmingham RC&W 'Calder Valley' diesel multiple unit stabled between turns, engines running, on one of the through lines at Huddersfield in December 1982. I had just arrived from Sheffield Midland via the remains of the Great Central Woodhead route to Penistone on the Class 101 dmu in platform 4. Huddersfield's great station roof is still intact today but only the line on which this dmu is standing is in use. The platform roads on the far left has been lifted and the platform extended out. Built in 1847 the station is is very impressive.
