Class 101 DMBS 53305 in Edinburgh Waverley, September 1993. The remains of the RETB aerial shows it was once a Norwich vehicle, the distinctive white on black set number shows it was also once a Laira vehicle. The centre car behind is 59536, the pair were no strangers as it ran with the DMBS for several years during its time at Norwich and in earlier years at Tyseley. When the power car went from Norwich to Plymouth, the centre car was facelifted and became part of three-car Haymarket set 101691. That unit would then become a Corkerhill power twin, leaving behind 59536 to be reunited with its old friend.
