Evening at Moor Street. One of Tyseley's Derby suburban 3 car dmu sets is poised to work the 20.40 hrs service along the North Warwickshire line to Shirley. 53061 is at the far end (image 31469), closest are presumably 53112 + 59613. These 1957 built units took over from steam and gave 30 years service until they were replaced by Class 150 units in 1987. Birmingham Moor St looks fairly clean and tidy in this shot taken 15th December 1986, the platforms and their infrastucture are much the same today but the clear view of the Rotunda is masked by the Selfridge building.
