One day in 1988, a Lancaster-Barrow dmu (Class 104 DMSL 53501 and Class 108 DMBS 53977) failed and was hauled by 31141. This image shots shows the Barrow bound train arriving at Grange over Sands. 31141 was a Bescot engine from November 1987 until November 1988 when it moved to Crewe, then withdrawn in January 1989.
