A two-car Gloucester RCW unit (later class 100) is bowling past Bournville signal box, no doubt preparing to stop at Bournville station, circa early 1960s. The scene is dominated by the water tower of Bournville loco depot. To the left of the unit is Bournville signal box, as well as the main lines it controlled the entrance to Lifford Goods canal branch which followed the line of the canal. On this (undated) picture a brake van is parked on the approach to Lifford goods. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith.
