Birkenhead (Woodside) was near Woodside Pier on the Mersey. The station was a mini Paddington with lovely curved overall roof, it was closed on 5th November 1967, this photograph was taken 30th August 1967. This picture, which has been published but in brutally cropped form, features a Park Royal 103/145 dmu discharging a healthy number of passengers, and a Met-Camm on the left. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith.
