A Scottish Region publicity image (negative 5830) showing a Swindon Inter-City DMU ascending Cowlairs Incline and going under Keppochhill Road bridge as it heads away from Glasgow Queen Street. This is probably circa early 1957, the six-car train is in a 3+3 formation rather than what would become the normal 2PC + 2CC + 2PC layout, and neither has a buffet car. Note also the Glasgow - Edinburgh sideboards. Image courtesy of the AA McLean Collection.
