Class 121 single unit 55031 at Millbrook on 19 January 1994 working the 14.40 Bedford-Bletchley. 55031 had been new in December 1960 and was initially allocated to Reading (81D). It later saw service from Laira, Southall, Reading again and Old Oak Common before being re-allocated to Bletchley (BY) in December 1992 and transferred into departmental service as 977976. 977976 was used as part of the Severn Tunnel Emergency Train until its withdrawal in April 2008 and it moved into preservation.
