On a bright but bitterly cold winter's morning a Tyseley class 116 is about to stop at Henley in Arden. The train is the 11.05 Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford upon Avon and the unit is in the short-lived white and blue livery. Apart from the lower aspect signals that have been replaced by upper aspect Henley looks like a Great Western branch line station with it's original nameboard in place. All is changing now the signals and box went some time ago but at this time the bridge is being replaced and new lifts are being installed, the nameboard is a casualty of this work. The fine station buildings behind the photographer stand empty and boarded up with a ticket machine replacing station staff. 31/12/1979.
