In Network South East livery, a two-car Class 101 DMU formed of cars 53322 & 53311 (L840) had arrived at Blackpool North with the 09.45 departure from Manchester Piccadilly on May 31st 1997. The set was in service until August 2000 and was eventually scrapped by JT Landscapes of Caerwent.
