On the last day of 1983 the Stourbridge shuttle service between Stourbridge Junction and the Town station was in the hands of 55012, a Tyseley based Gloucester DMBS Class 122. The photograph was taken from Parkfield Road bridge looking towards the station which at this time was slightly nearer the bus station. On the left is the bulk of St John's United Reform Church. The branch was a dismal place at this time, trees were breaching the retaining walls (left) and part of the wall had collapsed (right). The bus station can be glimpsed through the trees, a number of Daimler Fleetlines in WMPTE blue and cream livery are present.
