A three-car and a four-car Class 101 form an empty stock move seen at Durham on Sunday 13 May 1979. The closest vehicle is E51495, which was transferred from South Gosforth to Reading in the week ending 20 May 1979, and this could be part of that move. Transfers were popular at the start of new timetables, a new timetable came into effect on Monday 14 May.
