Class 101 DMU at Willaston Crossing

Details

At Willaston Crossing on 29/01/1977, the thick frost clings to the wooden sleepers where the watery winter sun has failed to reach. The big wheel in the signal box has been used to close the crossing gates and a Metro Cammell unit trundles past with a Shrewsbury to Crewe service. The next train will be a Western hauled railtour, will the sun last?
