Details

A view of Honeybourne Station which was taken by Peter Shoesmith on 09/08/1964.

The train is a Tyseley based Derby (Class 116) unit. Trains from the Birmingham using the North Warwickshire line could terminate at Henley-in-Arden, Stratford-upon-Avon or here, Honeybourne is also situated on the Oxford to Worcester line. Visible through the platform canopy a steam locomotive is visible having a water stop.

Today Honeybourne is a stop for Paddington to Worcester and beyond trains but one day it may be possible to travel along the picturesque Avon valley line to Stratford-upon-Avon once again.
