M985 was an SLS rail tour on 15/04/1961, using a Derby 108 and a Cravens unit to the Cromford & High Peak railway on that railway they had 68013 & 68030. The participants are "enjoying" a photo stop in the rain at Ashbourne. The tour, officially known as the North Staffs, Buxton & Cromford and High Peak, had started from Burton on Trent. The Station Hotel is a Bass house and the signal is upper quadrant, it had a timber platform and the signal box is on the right. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith.
