The 1530 Reading - Banbury local service runs past Didcot East Jn and the full gasometer, on its way into the station formed of Class 117 3-Car DMU set L410, 51387 + 59497 + 51345 on 19 March 1993. First Generation DMU services on this route were booked to cease sometime later that year, with all duties being taken over by the new Class 165/166 Turbos.
