53454 at Buxton on the 6th May 1989, showing Whaley Bridge on its blind, a throw back from the Whaley Bridge turn back days, on the route which they became synonynous with, with the 104 DMUPG "Buxton 104 Farewell" which had just worked in non stop from Manchester Piccadilly, by this time the 104's had been displaced by 108's which in turn were being displaced by the new Sprinters, so this might well have been the last visit of a 104 to Buxton.
