A White roofed Buxton based BRC&W class 104 dmu BX484 (M53496, M59137, M53431) has terminated at Disley on 2nd March 1986 because of Sunday engineering works further down the line and is crossing back over to work the return service to Buxton. The line between Disley and Hazel Grove was closed every Sunday around this time for the construction of the Hazel Grove Cord. In it's last years Disley was a "Peak" hour only box, with i think 1 maybe 2 Disley peak hour expresses from Manchester Piccadilly terminating here, they were probably the only passenger trains scheduled not to stop at Stockport.
