When snowfall came to London in January 1985, presenting unusual photographic opportunities, I couldn't resist capturing Marylebone station a few years before modernisation took place. Class 115 DMU (power cars 51667 and 51674) leaves a smoke trail as it departs and passes beneath Rossmore Road forming an Aylesbury service on 15 January 1985. The Marylebone class 115 sets, which were later transferred to Bletchley but remained on Chiltern Line duties, were declared surplus after the introduction of Class 165s from 1991 onwards and the final Class 115 working out of Marylebone was in July 1992.
