A class 107 d.m.u. formimg a Glasgow to Ardrossan Harbour or Largs train passes Stevenston No. 1 signal box in the immediate pre-electrification period - July 1985. This was an LMS built signal box, opened in June 1947, closed by British Rail in September 1986 upon completion of the Ayrshire electrification project. A scan from a slide given to me by a former railwayman.
