Vehicle: 53094 Set: TS505
First generation DMUs were not common on the line between Coventry and Birmingham New Street and this is possibly my only such shot. The train is showing "Special" on its cab panel and that it the only information I have about it. The unit is TS505 (presumably 53094 + 59638 + 53066), a class 116 set with a class 127 centre car, passing the car park at Berkswell station on 26 November 1986. The picture was taken using a Ricoh compact camera with automatic exposure on Ilford FP4 film and it appears that the poor light was almost a bit too much for the asa 125 rating. The front of the cab seems to have gained a dent at some point Peter Tandy.
