The passing loop at Borth, mid Wales is out of use, along with the station signalling (the distant signal is operated from the nearby level crossing cabin) by the date of this shot on 8th June 1977. The DMBS on the rear of Met-Camm formation on a service leaving for Aberystwyth has suffered some damage to the cab side. Bob Belcher.
Rationalisation is in evidence at Borth on 3rd April 1976. The passing loop out of use and the associated signalling abolished leaving no passing place between Dovey Junction and Aberystwyth. A class 108 pauses at the remaining platform. Bob Belcher.
