A Class 101 DMBS / Class 105 DTC set seen between Dinsdale and Darlington on 11 September 1982. Darlington is on the destination blind and there are window bars on the passenger door droplights. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Met-Camm TBSL NE59051 at the Dinsdale premises of scrap dealer Arnott Young. It arrived there in July 1969 after withdrawal from South Gosforth under the wear and tear / surplus category in June 1968 after just under twelve years in traffic. It was last noted intact at the end of October 1969 and believed cut before the end of the year. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Class 101 DTCL SC56395 in the Arnott Young scrapyard at Fighting Cocks (Dinsdale) circa 1976. The cause of the collision is unknown, it would linger here until 1983 when, due to asbestos, it would move to Snailwell for disposal. Stuart Mackay Collection.
