On 18 February 1984 Hertfordshire Railtours ran a railtour utilising a class 47 with eight Mk 1 carriages between London King's Cross and Darlington and a 7-car Met-Camm dmu formation (53244 + 59084 + 53149 and 53295 + 53150 and 53188 + 51219) thence to Redmire and Eastgate as "The Norseman 2". In this view an HR rep is either placing or removing the headboard from Class 101 DMC(L) 53244. Jeremy Chapter.

The Hertfordshire Railtours "The Norseman" tour at Redmire on 4 February 1984. The tour was loco-hauled from Kings Cross, the participants transferring to a 2+2+3 DMU formation at Darlington. Here the three-car part is in view, Six Bells Junction lists the TBSL as 59085. Stuart Mackay Collection.
