I'm not sure why this DPU (55993) was attached to the rear of this Hereford - Birmingham DMU, seen at Shelwick Junction, Hereford - it certainly wasn't a regular occurrence. Perhaps it was added to an ailing DMU to give it a bit more power...! John Crooks.
