Vehicle: 55015
55015 seen at Stirling 14/5/71. The different tone of blue between the nearest cab door and the first 'passenger' door with a droplight signifies where body panels have been altered removing a window and making a double door. Through the cab windows we can see wire mesh has been fitted to the insides of the white painted windows. Hamish Stevenson.

Vehicle: 53144 Set: 101363
Set 101363 at Stirling on 23/05/1984. Car numbers are 53144 + 59049 + 53746. The leading car unusually retains the central marker lights (top and bottom) and the top one even looks like it might be switched on, though there is no glass lens - both these central lights were usually removed upon refurbishment. The full length uninterrupted cantrail rain strip suggests the vehicle has been refurbished. Graeme Phillips Collection.

101 360 at Stirling circa 1984. The BR logo on the closest power car - SC53192 - appears to be silver rather than white. The other two vehicles are presumably 59074 + 53158. Andrew McConnell.
Vehicle: 53245 Set: 101324
101324 stands at Stirling formed DMS 53245 (nearest) with TBS 59112 and DMBS 51253 (curiously containing two brake vans!) on 29/Mar/1986. I could not find any record of 53245 listed in 101324 in contemporary set lists although 51253 was, so maintenance requirements or failures might have caused reformations, which might also account for the two brake vans in the set. Another three car set listed had no brake van at all so both may have been temporary formations. Robert Chilton.
