A couple of class 120 DMUs work away from Sutton Bridge Junction with a Shrewsbury to Hereford working on 3/6/1978. C601 leads, presumably 50722 + 50672. Stephen Burdett.

The Fisons Weedkilling train stabled in the engineers sidings at Sutton Bridge Junction on 6th October 1986. The formation of the train is Spray Coach FA99900, ex-Class 100 DTC 56315, then two ex-GWR full brakes as stores van (order unknown), FA99901 - Gangwayed Passenger Brake 150 and FA99902 - Gangwayed Passenger Brake 164, then Staff & Dormitory Coach FA99904, LMS Corridor Composite (Lot 1405), . The water tanks can just be seen at the very back. Photo taken from the cab of my passing loco at the head of the return empties Albion tanks. Paul James.

Seen at Sutton Bridge Junction (Shrewsbury) working what is thought to be the late running 14:33 to Aberystwyth on 6 April 1974 is a Class 119 set with M51058 closest, at the time allocated to Chester. Robert Thomas.
Vehicle: 51077 Set: C801
Running as C801, the rather unusual pairing of W51077 + W51517, a GRC&W class 119 and a Metro-Cam class 101 DMU, run past Sutton Bridge Jn, Shrewsbury on 9th August 1986 whilst in charge of the 1048 Shrewsbury - Swansea service that seems to have a little too much first class seating... W51077 was delivered new to Bristol Marsh Jn shed 82B, in December 1959 with its original partners W59420 + W51105. Destined to remain Western Region allocated for its entire twenty seven and a half year career it was reallocated to depots at Bristol Bath Road 82A, Laira 84A, RG and CF. Stored serviceable whilst at BR on 11th May 1986 it was to lose its original partners and team up with Class 101 DMC W51517 when reinstated to traffic just over two months later at CF. Withdrawn from CF on 21st June 1987 it was later to be scrapped by Vic Berry's of Leicester. Nigel Mack.
