The details supplied with this image note the vehicles as M50398 (leading)+ M50409. Did a Class 103 set run with two DMBSs (or were there also two DTCs?) Seen at Welshpool on the 28th April 1979. Robert Frise.

10th June 1972

Vehicle: 50331   Set: TY410

The 10.20 from Birmingham New Street to Aberystwyth arrives at Welshpool station on June 10 1972, formed of Tyseley diesel units TY410 (front, presumably 50331 leading) and TY403. I'm not sure why a member of the party is scrutinising the ballast behind the equipment cabinet, but if he did it now he would probably trigger a full-scale security alert... Tom Burnham.

11th June 1977

Two Class 120 DMUs at Welshpool on the 11th June 1977 . The closest set (C560, W51585 and 59587 + presumably 51581) is a three-car, the far set just a two-car. The Mid Walesman was run by the Gwili Railway Preservation Society from Swansea to Welshpool out via Hereford returning by the Central Wales Line. Robert Thomas.
