An oval buffered Class 114 pauses in Tumby Woodside station on its way to Firsby in 1970. Steve Davies Collection.
Last ever train from Woodside. Sunday 5th November 1967. I think the final Chester General to Woodside dep Chester at 2308 and arr at Woodside 2335. This info is from the April 1966 to March 1967 WTT. I don't suppose it changed much up to November. The ECS is leaving Woodside presumably for Mollington Street. If anyone else knows different please let me know. Edgehillsignallman@Flickr.
A Derby Heavyweight DMU and some rotating ground signals at Tumby Woodside on 18 April 1970. From the James Freebury Railway slide Archive. David Page Collection.
Birkenhead (Woodside) was near Woodside Pier on the Mersey. The station was a mini Paddington with lovely curved overall roof, it was closed on 5th November 1967, this photograph was taken 30th August 1967. This picture, which has been published but in brutally cropped form, features a Park Royal 103/145 dmu discharging a healthy number of passengers, and a Met-Camm on the left. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith. Geoff Dowling and John Whitehouse Collection.
