The 5.5pm Birmingham Snow Hill - Swansea High Street service is seen just past Acocks Green on April 22nd, 1959. It is formed of GRC&W (closest) and Swindon built Cross Country sets. Note the Swindon vehicles have far fewer roof vents than the GRC&W equivalent. Michael Mensing.

A GRC&W DMU in Wolverhampton Low Level Spa station, date unknown. Closest is W51100 - still looking fairly new - so this could be circa late 1959. It was a Tyseley vehicle from delivery in July 1959 until moving to Chester in March 1967. A couple of items of note - the left marker lamp has a white lens slotted in, and there is a coach board fitted but turned inwards to hide the text. Stuart Mackay Collection.
