A London Midland Region publicity image (negative DL2488) showing the inside of a new shed a Bletchley circa 1965. It contains a Class 24 and two Derby Lightweights. The readable numbers are M79654 and M79653 both being allocated there. The former came from Llandudno Junction in January 1965 and the other from Redditch the previous month. British Railways.

Derby Lightweight DTCL M79656 stored at Ipswich loco shed circa early 1970. For almost all its life it was an LMR vehicle, it would be transferred from Bletchley to Norwich - probably with 79133 in summer 1967 - it was withdrawn from that depot in October 1967 and would eventually be disposed of to the Bird Group at Long Marston in February 1973. It faces a Met-Camm "Lightweight". Tony Wilkins.

Livery experiment. This official image (Derby Works negative 56/19) records a trial of warning markings on the front end of Derby Lightweight DTCL M79668 circa February 1956. The text on the rear of the print includes "despatched to Monument Lane for traffic Feb 7th 1956". The vehicle on the left, with "Derby Carr & Wagon Dept" on the destination blind suggests this was taken at that location. British Railways.
