In refurbished white with blue stripe livery, a two-car Class 101 DMU was approaching Settle Junction with a Leeds to Morecambe service on May 13th 1978. The blanked over top marker lamp means the DMBS should be from the small 50198-209 batch, and although the number cannot be fully read it appears to end in a 2, so this is presumably 50202, which was a Neville Hill vehicle at the time. Tyseley Class 116 DMU set TS529 has a Class 100 DMBS (which is possibly M50340) in place of the regular DMBS when seen at Small Heath on 11 June 1976. This was an up local service from Birmingham Moor Street, either the 6.33pm to Leamington or 6.40pm to Stratford-upon-Avon. Michael Mensing.
