In June 1966 a two-car Blue Square Derby Lightweight DMU is seen West of Abervale. The leading car, DTCL M56224 (allocated to Chester) displays Crewe on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.
A Class 108 power-trailer set and a Class 105 power twin is seen north east of Brierfield in July 1977. The closest vehicle appears to be M50959, allocated to Carlisle, the right route indicator glass appears to be broken and taped up, the left side is painted yellow. Michael Mensing.
