A Met-Camm Lightweight set with E79272 leading is seen heading south near East Suffolk Junction in Ipswich on the Great Eastern main line. June 1966. Although all the ER trailers seem to have been built as second class only it seems that some, including this one, had first class added. Steve Davies Collection.

An Eastern Region publicity image showing the corridor connection on a Met-Camm 'Lightweight' DMU between E79274 and E79058 at Stratford circa March 1956. On the jumper closest the number 4 can be seen painted on the right hand plug. The text on the left vehicle end reads - 25 TONS, 57-0" x 9-3", 72 T., T.O., TWIN' - showing it is a third open in a twin set with 72 third class seats. There is some small text at the very bottom corner, it is unreadable but seems to end in 'SYN' so is probably a paint date. Note the style of water filler pipe with flap, I normally associated this with drinking water for buffet / restaurant cars, and that the DMBS also had the filler pipe, not because it has a toilet but these are for the coolant system.
