It is formed of two three-car sets, rather than the two power car / two centre car / two power car arrangement of the six-car sets on the Edinburgh - Glasgow services. The second vehicle appears to be in a darker green, and only one vehicle carries a coaching crest, possibly an ex-WR vehicle. George Bett.
A Swindon Inter-City set snakes its way through Princes Street Gardens towards Edinburgh Waverley. Taken on 22 June 1968, it's a mixture of green and blue /grey liveries, and the second vehicle could be blue with a small yellow panel although there were also reports of an unlined green vehicle at this time.
