30/3/1974 RCTS railtour from Oban. The return failed at Tulloch due to the engines overheating. Graham Hodgson.

Class 101 DMU at Fort William

30th March 1974

A Class 101 in Fort William station on 30 March 1974. The DMU ran from Oban to Mallaig, as part of a sleeper special tour from Leeds. It is unclear if this is on the outward, or return part of the trip. On the return the set failed near Tulloch. Stuart Mackay Collection.

1st June 1978

Refurbished Class 101 set 195 (51458 and presumably 59687 + 51806) passing through Gleneagles station on its way to Perth on 1 June 1978. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Class 101 DMU at Dundee depot

26th September 1980

Freshly painted Class 101 DMBS SC51251 in Dundee depot on 26 September 1980, its date of refurbishment was the 20th of that month. It carries set number 195 in white. Note the row of overhauled engines between the tracks and the Class 122 to the left. Brian Daniels.
