Class 100 DMU at Alloa

5th October 1968

A Gloucester twin departs from Alloa station on 5 October 1968. The DTCL is in blue, the DMBS is still in green, there is a set number stenciled on the front sadly slightly blurred but it could be 89. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Class 100 DMU at Longniddry

23rd August 1969

A GRC&W twin set seen at Longniddry with an Edinburgh Waverley - North Berwick service on 23 August 1969. The DMBS (which seems to carry set number 89) has 'LW' on the blue square instead of the more usual 'G' for these Scottish sets. The DTCL - in Rail Blue livery - has yellow cab doors. A two-car Class 101 at Wrabness on 23 October 1984. The set number could be 89, so the DMBS closest is likely 51229. Chris Thorp.

Class 101 DMU at Lowestoft

21st August 1985

Norwich allocated class 101 Metro-Cammell dmu set 89, made up of cars E54089 & E51229 waits at Lowestoft with a Norwich service, still showing a sign literally of its day's as a Tyneside allocated unit. 21st August 1985. Andrew J Crowther.

22nd February 1986

In the fading light of 22 February 1986 Norwich Class 101 DMU set 89 (DMBS 51229 closest) is seen in Cambridge station with Bishops Stortford on the destination blind. Stuart Mackay Collection.
