Class 127 parcel set 912 (55972 + 55982) pass through Bentham station with two GUVs and a BG in tow. Dated as 1986, it will be in the first few months of the year as it was fitted with roller shutters by June. Stuart Mackay Collection.
In their early days of parcel use - before roller shutter doors were fitted - M55982 and presumably M55972 are seen in Manchester Victoria on 26 March 1986. Brian Daniels.
Former Bedford-St Pancras Diesel Hydraulic Red Triangle DMU Driving Cars 55972 (51611) & 55982 (51596) running as Parcel Unit 912, were passing Daisyfield level crossing at Blackburn with a diverted Workington to Manchester mail service on March 29th 1986.
