Making a spirited climb of the Lickey Bank is one of Tyseley's 3 car class 116 units although the centre car is a newly painted class 101 Metro-Cammell coach - set TS557, presumably 50100 + 59131 + 50840. The passengers are enjoying a fine view from the front windows as they head towards Blackwell at the summit of the climb. The unit, which started from Worcester, has Four Oaks on the blind although I do not remember services from Worcester going beyond Birmingham New Street. 25/08/1979. Geoff Dowling.
Several Class 116 DMUs are seen in Birmingham Moor Street in this April 4, 1981 view, with set TS557 accelerating towards the camera with a Leamington Spa service. Steve Davies Collection.
