Class 116 DMU at Alvechurch

5th May 1984

On the slightly delapidated platform at Alvechurch Station a few passengers wait for the 12.50 Four Oaks to Redditch train. That train is lead by 53890, one of Tyseley's faithful class 116 dmus. Just under the leading car is a foot crossing, this was to a field path, today that is reached by using the new overbridge to the second platform which has recently been built at this now twin track, electrified station. Geoff Dowling.

Class 116 DMU at High Wycombe

15th July 1984

A lengthy class 116 dmu passes High Wycombe on 15 July 1984, returning empty to Tyseley. It is believed to have worked to Welshpool the previous day. Leading is set TS610, presumably 53890 + 59603 + 53837. Robert28194.

Class 116 DMU at Stratford-upon-Avon

6th September 1985

The 12.20 to Birmingham Moor Street awaits departure from Stratford-upon-Avon on 6 September 1985. It is formed of a Class 116/101/116 hybrid, M53890 is closest presumably with 59129 and 53837. Robert28194.
