The 11.53 Cambridge to St Ives at Longstanton station on 20 April 1970, the cars recorded as E50344 and E56316, both ex-Scottish Region and now allocated to Cambridge, although they would move to Norwich within a few weeks. Longstanton station was mentioned in the song, "The Slow Train", Flanders & Swan's eulogy to the railways facing closure under the Beeching plan. Tom Burnham.
