A Class 114 DMU (DMBS E50022 closest) arrives at Derby, date unknown. Paul Redmond.
This is Skegness station on Thursday 5th August 1976. If my notes from the day are accurate then this Class 114 DMU comprised DTCL No. 56032 (nearest the camera) and DMBS No. 50022, built at BR's Derby Works and new in 1957. The presence of the tail light suggests that the train has recently arrived at the seaside terminus. Tom Harper.
On a freezing Winter afternoon, a Derby Class 114 two-car DMU formed of cars E56022 & E50022 was running under clear signals at Worksop whilst working a Lincoln to Sheffield service on January 16th 1977. Martyn Hilbert.
Class 114 vehicles E54038 and E53022 at Snailwell on December 4, 1988. Nicholas Youngman.
