The last digit in the number is obscured, five 5935x vehicles cut there (1/5/6/7/8), 5/6/7 in that period. The latter is believed to still have had a W prefix, 59356 did leaving 59355. A row of Met-Camms is on the left and the cab of a Class 116 can be seen in the distance by the cab of the 03. RichardMid67.

Freshly painted W50843 in Cardiff Central with a Valleys service on 18 September 1976. It has a refurbished date of 27 August but its centre car 59355 was not completed till 10 September which is probably why it still looks so fresh. Robert Thomas.
