Blue pullman at Aldridge

1960

A Blue Pullman publicity photo showing W60096 at Aldridge (a popular location for Met-Camm publicity images). It is captioned "Exterior view of the front end of the Power Car". Negative number unknown. Metropolitan Cammell.

Blue pullman at Old Oak Common depot

July 1967

Metropolitan Cammell Class 251 8-car "Blue Pullman" dmu (for working “The Bristol Pullman” and "The South Wales Pullman") with the Type 1 1,000hp power car W60096 leading in the revised reversed BR Rail Blue & light grey Pullman livery with all-yellow "Spectrum Yellow" front end. The window band is extended further forward than the previous livery; in addition, the frames & bogies are maroon instead of black. In my opinion, the otherwise very attractive revised livery is spoilt by the all-yellow front end and the loss of the Pullman coat-of-arms on the nose. The set is at the Open Day at Old Oak Common depot, 07/67. Hugh Llewelyn.

Blue pullman at Swansea

August 1967

Metropolitan Cammell Class 251 8-car "Blue Pullman" dmu on the "South Wales Pullman" service in the revised reversed BR Rail Blue & light grey Pullman livery with all-yellow front end arriving at Swansea (High St), 08/67. Closest is thought to be W60096, the rear set with power car W60097, the only two half sets in this livery at the time. Hugh Llewelyn.

Blue pullman at Old Oak Common

Unknown date

A Met-Camm Pullman set, possibly at Old Oak Common. The dent on the front means this is probably 60096. Graham Clark.

Blue pullman at Newport

1972

A diesel Pullman set in Newport High Street station in 1972. The dent next to the centre lamp identifies the power car as W60096. Stuart Mackay Collection.

The vehicle is mentioned in the following images:

DMU

Date: July 1967

Metropolitan Cammell Class 251 8-car "Blue Pullman" dmu (for working “The Bristol Pullman” and "The South Wales Pullman") with the Type 1 1,000hp power car No.W60097 leading, folllowed by W60647, W60737, W60747 (all in the original Nanking Blue & White Pullman livery) and W60744, W60736, W60646, W60096 (all in the revised reversed White & Nanking Blue Pullman livery with all-yellow front end) at the Open Day at Old Oak Common depot, 07/67. The 8-car sets were actually two 4-car sets coupled together, hence two different liveries of this 8-car "set". Note elongated Pullman crest on nose - and no yellow warning panel. Hugh Llewelyn.
