The depot had 568 different vehicles allocated to it of types Class 100, Class 101, Class 104, Class 105, Class 108, Class 109, Class 111, Derby Lightweight, Met-Camm Lightweight.
NC (Norwich Crown Point) was a new depot.
Norwich was the first Eastern Region depot to apply set numbers to its DMUs on 15 November 1971. This article on the Birmingham Railcar Workgroup website looks at their introduction.
Initially they started at set number 46 and were grouped by engine and vehicle type. The following, reproduced from the Ipswich Transport Society January 1972 journal, shows the initial application:
