E50209 + E56408 leads another Met-Camm at calling at the soon to close Gateshead station on October 10, 1981. It was replaced by the underground Metro station several hundred yards away. The old station here would have been much better placed for the regeneration of the riverside area if it had been retained. Unfortunately the slide has evidence of the sticking Zenit-E shutter
