E50209 + E56408 leads another Met-Camm at calling at the soon to close Gateshead station on October 10, 1981. It was replaced by the underground Metro station several hundred yards away. The old station here would have been much better placed for the regeneration of the riverside area if it had been retained. Unfortunately the slide has evidence of the sticking Zenit-E shutter John Carter.

A Met-Camm and Derby unit at Lancaster on the 8th July 1976. The Class 101 is almost certainly E50198. It was the only MBS of the batch 50198 - 50209 (that had the "stump" above the destination box) to have been refurbished by that time - ex-works following refurbishment 26th May 1976. Tim Stubbs.
E51274, E50209, E51441 and E50210 form a nice DMU line-up at Newcastle on January 31, 1981. John Carter.
